Since the dawn of the Wayne Tinkle era, the recruitment of Beavers has been largely outside of the State, as players have been channeling from Southern California. Although Southern California has a large pool of talent, it is important not to ignore the local home grown talent within the State. Drew Eubanks, for instance, from Renoylds High School in Gresham, OR, has a home grown product that hadn’t played basketball until he was discovered as a freshman in high school. Zach Reichle, is another example of another Oregon product, as the Wilsonville grad was the 2017 Gatorade Oregon State Player of the Year and opted to stay in state and play for the Bears.
