CORVALLIS, Ore. – Oregon State offensive lineman Gus Lavaka and linebacker Manase Hungalu have been named to the Polynesian College Football Player of the Year Award Watch List, it was announced on Thursday.
The honor is given annually to the most outstanding college football player of Polynesian Ancestry. The watch list is comprised of 48 players, with Lavaka and Hungalu accounting for two of the 14 from the Pac-12 Conference.
Lavaka, a business major from Kearns, Utah, enters the 2017 season with seven career starts, all coming as a redshirt freshman last season.
