Following spring practice, first-year Oregon State Beavers football coach Gary Andersen had one prominent observation: the Beavers needed to get stronger during the offseason. Enter head strength and conditioning coach Evan Simon and his staff, who are currently putting players through a rigorous summer training program.
But how tough are these workouts, really? To get an inside look, the Beavers welcomed The Oregonian/OregonLive's Gina Mizell, KEZI's Kristen Rodgers and BeaverBlitz.com's Angie Machado to participate. The two-hour Friday session focused on upper-body strength training, as well as outdoor conditioning drills.
