CORVALLIS -- Dwayne Williams' first goal for the 2017 season is simple: Play in all 12 games.

The effect of the Oregon State defensive back's absence was one of the more underrated storylines for the defense last season. The Beavers were 4-1 in the games Williams occupied that key crucial nickelback spot, and 0-7 in the games he missed.
