BOULDER, Colo. – Everett Hayes knocked down a school-record 60-yard field goal at the end of regulation, but the Oregon State football team fell to Colorado 37-34 in double-overtime Saturday evening in Boulder, Colo.
Hayes' kick surpassed the previous mark of 58, set by Chris Mangold (1982) and Alexis Serna (2006). B.J. Baylor scored a touchdown to match Colorado's score in the first overtime, but the Buffaloes prevailed with a field goal in the second overtime period.
Baylor rushed for 98 yards and the OT score, as he moved up to 28th on the Beavers' career rushing list.
