BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – Junior 141-pounder Jack Hathaway placed third on Sunday to lead all Oregon State competitors at the Roadrunner Open at Cal State-Bakersfield. He went 5-1 overall, with three pins and a technical fall. His lone loss was 4-0 to All American Joey McKenna of Stanford.
Redshirt freshman Collbran Meeker was OSU's only other placer, as he took sixth at 165 pounds. He went 2-2 before losing the fifth-place match by medical forfeit.
Twelve Beavers competed at Bakersfield. Redshirt freshman 149-pounder Michael Carr competed at the Spokane Open but did not place.
