TUCSON, Ariz. – Sammy Harrison seized a first-place finish in the 1,650-yard freestyle to lead the Oregon State swimming team in a four-team meet hosted by Pac-12 foe Arizona at the Hillenbrand Aquatic Center.
The Henderson, Nev. native clocked a time of 17:08.13 to earn her second victory in the event this season, edging Arizona’s Emma McCarthy by two seconds.
The senior’s win in the 1,650 was her 20th overall individual victory of the season, marking only the 16th time in school history that an OSU swimmer has recorded 20 or more individual wins in a single season.
