FEDERAL WAY, Wash. – Sammy Harrison placed third in the 500-yard freestyle to pace the Oregon State swimming team at the Pac-12 Championships on Thursday night at the Weyerhaeuser King County Aquatic Center.
Harrison clocked a time of 4:41.85 for her third-place finish and for 27 points towards Oregon State’s team total. The Henderson, Nev. native’s time was the second-fastest in program history, only edged out by her own time of 4:39.10 last season.
Harrison had recorded an earlier 500 free time of 4:42.74 in the preliminaries, the second-fastest preliminary time of all Pac-12 swimmers as well as the third-fastest time in school history.
