FEDERAL WAY, Wash. – The Oregon State swimming team’s Sammy Harrison finished second in the 1,650-yard freestyle at the Weyerhaeuser King County Aquatic Center on Saturday to cap off competition at the Pac-12 Championships.

Harrison’s time of 16:06.13, which was good for 28 points and second in the event, ranks as the second-fastest time in school history, only behind her own time of 15:54.61 last season. The senior from Henderson, Nev. also owns the now third-best time in school history (16:21.00)

Harrison was just edged by USC’s Elizabeth Stinson, who won the event with a time of 15:59.
