Oregon State Beavers football coach Jonathan Smith as built a reputation as a stellar recruiter of quarterbacks, thanks to his strong showing for the Washington Huskies under Chris Petersen.
And in his first full recruiting cycle in Corvallis, he plans to continue that trend.
Oregon State is currently recruiting several quarterbacks as potential options in the class of 2019, but none are rated higher than 247Sports four-star quarterback Hank Bachmeier, the nation's No. 5 pro-style passer.
The 6-foot-3, 188-pound quarterback, out of Murrieta Valley High School (Murrieta, California), first visited Oregon State in March, and is already planning a return trip.
