KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – Oregon State earned a trip to the NCAA Knoxville Regional Final after taking down Ohio State, 5-1, in the elimination game Saturday evening. With the win, the Beavers force a rematch with host and top-seeded No. 11 Tennessee tomorrow at 11 a.m. PT at Sherri Parker Lee Stadium.
The Beavers dropped down to the elimination bracket after suffering a 3-0 loss to the Lady Vols in the earlier game. In order to win the regional, Oregon State will have to take two against Tennessee on Sunday due to the double elimination rule.
The winner of the double-elimination NCAA Regional will move on to the best-of-three NCAA Super Regional against the winner of the Tuscaloosa Regional.
