Hallock, McNairy shine on Day 1 of heptathlon

CORVALLIS, Ore. – Senior Kara Hallock and redshirt sophomore Saskia McNairy each PRed in three events on Saturday on the opening day of the Pacific-12 Conference heptathlon championships at the Whyte Track & Field Center.

Hallock established lifetime bests in the 100 hurdles (13.90), the shot put (38-5) and the 200 (25.20). She is in fourth place with 3,240 points with three events remaining.

McNairy PRed in the 100 hurdles (15.16), the high jump (5-3) and the 200 (25.21). She is in ninth place with 2,977 points, just 36 points out of eighth.
