CORVALLIS – Former Oregon State standout Ali Gibson will represent Puerto Rico at the Tokyo Olympic Games when basketball tips off next week.
"It has always been a dream of mine to compete at the Olympics," Gibson said. "Being able to be part of this team in Puerto Rico has been amazing, and it's truly a dream come true."
Puerto Rico will begin the group phase on Tuesday July 27. The team has been drawn into a group with China, Belgium and Australia. Should Puerto Rico advance to the knockout rounds, quarterfinals begin on Aug.
