CORVALLIS -- Minutes after the conclusion of Oregon State's spring game -- where the new-look offense perhaps turned out its best showing so far against a vanilla defensive scheme -- first-year Beavers coach Gary Andersen was already looking ahead to the next step in his rebuilding effort.
And the "No. 1 priority" between now and fall camp had already been uttered multiple times in recent weeks -- the Beavers need to get stronger.
"Our biggest nemesis is our strength," Andersen said. "I've said it a billion times ... and I'm gonna tell (the players) again."
This week has been a labeled a "discretionary week," where coaches and the strength staff cannot mandate a specific schedule for workouts.
