SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – Oregon State junior All-American Madeline Gardiner and freshman Mary Jacobsen have been named the Pac-12 Gymnast of the Week and Pac-12 Newcomer of the Week for February 17-22 when weekly honors were announced by the Pac-12 Conference office Tuesday.
Gardiner, who is majoring in exercise and sport science, helped lead the Beavers to their highest score of the season last Saturday in a 196.850-195.350 win over California. En route to securing victory, Gardiner won two individual titles with a career-high 39.475 in the all-around and a 9.90 on the floor exercise.
