SEATTLE, Wash. – Freshmen Mary Jacobsen and Mariana Colussi-Pelaez each enjoyed the best meet of their short careers Monday night as the No. 16 Beavers defeated Washington 195.325-194.275 in Seattle.
Jacobsen secured the first individual title of her career scoring personal-best 9.825 on OSU’s opening event of the evening, the uneven bars. In addition, she added a personal-mark of 9.750 on the floor exercise while also mixing in what was one of the best vaults of her career.
“We need to come out each week and thrive in competition, tonight we just survived competition,” head coach Tanya Chaplin said.
