PULLMAN, Wash. – Senior Alex Franklin continued his strong play with two sub-par rounds to lead the Oregon State men’s golf team during Monday’s 36 holes of play at the Pac-12 Championship.
The Beavers are in seventh place after opening the six-count-five championship with an 18-over 361-357--718 at the par-70, 7,257-yard Palouse Ridge Golf Club.
USC was the only team to post a number in red figures on a windy day on the Palouse, a 1-under 699, to hold a six-stroke lead over Arizona State (5-over 705).
The third round of the three-day, 72-hole tournament will begin at 8 a.
