Well that’s more like it. Michigan’s handling of Oregon State in the home opener went pretty much as expected. The priority was clear, get the run game going and overpower a team that, by all means, they should be overpowering. Mission accomplished.
Granted, Oregon State is no Utah up front, nor are they even BYU for that matter, but Saturday’s game stands as a step in the right direction both physically and mentally for a team that needed a little of both. Seth Collins delivered a flawless touchdown pass on a fly-route early in the first quarter, but from there on out, it was literally all Michigan, as the Wolverines went on to score 35 unanswered points and walk away with a relatively convincing victory over a power-5 team.
