Former Oregon State safety Ryan Murphy was waived by the Denver Broncos, the team announced.
Murphy was sent home to Denver before the Super Bowl after he was questioned by police for involvement with a prostitution sting in San Jose, Calif. Murphy was not charged in the incident. Even though Murphy was not charged, Broncos coach Gary Kubiak sent Murphy back to Denver to avoid any distractions in the days leading up the game.
Murphy was a seventh-round draft pick of the Seattle Seahawks in the 2015 NFL draft.
