Former Oregon State forward Olaf Schaftenaar has agreed to terms with the Spanish professional basketball team CB Peñas Huesca.
Schaftenaar told The Oregonian/OregonLive he signed a one-year contract and will join the team in late August. Huesca currently plays in LEB Oro, the second division of the Spanish basketball league system.
The 6-foot-10 forward from the Netherlands averaged 5.1 points, 2.2 rebounds and 1.1 assists during his four-year Oregon State career, shooting 35.4 percent from three-point range. He started 60 of 63 games the last two seasons, including all 32 last year as the Beavers reached their first NCAA Tournament since 1990.
