CORVALLIS -- Over the past four seasons, Oregon State has gone through some of the sharpest peaks and valleys in men's college basketball.
During the 2014-15 season, a team picked last in the Pac-12 by most observers put together a winning record on the strength of one of the nation's top defenses. The Beavers added a nationally ranked recruiting class the following season and reached the program's first NCAA Tournament in 26 years.
Last season, injuries and other departures decimated depth already thinned by the loss of a strong senior class and brought a five-win season that some might have expected two years earlier.
