Mowing the lawn might be an annoying chore to some, but for Nigel Burton, it's a symbolic silver lining.
For 15 years, Burton was immersed in life as a college football coach, including the past five as head coach at Portland State. This summer, as he moves into a new stage in his life as a TV analyst, he has been able to do things he hadn't had time for, such as coaching his 9-year-old son's flag football team, along with the more mundane.
"I mowed my lawn today," he said. "When I was coaching, you don't mow your lawn, it's not going to happen.
