Five Oregon State rowers were named 2015 Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association (CRCA) National Scholar-Athletes, the CRCA announced Friday.
Lihani du Plessis (Canmore, Alberta, Canada), Katie Low (Bend, Ore.), Theresa O’Leary (Paisley, Ore.), Chen Oshri (Ramat Gan, Israel) and Julie Stark (Anchorage, Alaska) received the academic honors.
This marks the third straight year Low, a zoology major in OSU’s Honors College, and Stark, who studies public health, have received the award. Oshri, a junior studying biology, garnered the award for the second year in a row.
It is the first award for du Plessis, a sophomore studying exercise and sport science, and O’Leary, who is a sophomore studying agricultural business management.
