CORVALLIS, Ore. – Five members of the Oregon State wrestling team earned preseason Top-20 rankings from the Amateur Wrestling News website on Tuesday.
Junior All-American heavyweight , who took fifth place at the 2016 NCAA Championships with a 5-2 record, earned the highest ranking, No. 4. Dhesi was 32-5 last season, was the Pacific-12 Conference Wrestler of the Year and earned the Most Outstanding Wrestler award at the Pac-12 tournament while winning his weight class.
Dhesi, who is competing in the World University Championships in Corum, Turkey, this week, was also No. 4 in preseason rankings from InterMat, The Open Mat and WIN.
