BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Oregon State redshirt juniors Grace Fetherstonhaugh and Kaylee Mitchell finished ninth and 12th, respectively, in the 3000 meters on the final day of the NCAA Indoor Championships in Birmingham, Ala. Both earned Second-Team All-America honors.
"Grace and Kaylee fought and raced with such confidence and courage," said head coach Louie Quintana. "Kaylee took a shot at the win with 800 meters to go. It was a bold move, one that will serve her well in future championships. Grace ran with composure and closed very fast, probably around 2:15 in the last 800 meters and missed scoring by the smallest of margins.
