Ex-Oregon State star Brandon Browner charged with attempted murder

Former Oregon State star Brandon Browner was charged with attempted murder Tuesday after he was arrested following an incident in which he allegedly assaulted his former girlfriend.

Browner, who also played for the Seattle Seahawks, was indicted on four felony charges by the Los Angeles District Attorney's Office. Browner was charged with attempted murder, robbery, burglary and false imprisonment. Browner, 33, was also charged with two misdemeanor counts of child endangerment.

Police officers responded to a call from a home in La Verne, Calif., Sunday morning after a caller reported a man was attempting to break into the home through a locked window.
