Former Oregon State safety Ryan Murphy will get a chance to earn a roster spot with the New York Giants after he signed a reserve/future contract with the team earlier this month.
Murphy was one of three players who signed a reserve/future contract with a NFL team in January. Former Oregon State tight end Connor Hamlett and Southern Oregon kicker Aldrick Rosas also signed deals.
Signing a reserve/future contract gives players an opportunity for players compete for a roster spot in offseason workouts, organized team activities and during training camp.
