It's shaping up as a must-see men's high jump competition at this year's Prefontaine Classic.

Mutaz Essa Barshim, who on the brink of an eight-foot clearance, will head the field. Barshim was one of three bronze medalists in in the 2012 Olympics.

Also entered is Eugene's Jesse Williams, a two-time Olympian and 2011 world champion who competes for Oregon Track Club Elite.

Reigning Olympic gold medalist Ivan Ukhov is entered. So are Derek Drouin and Erik Kynard, who joined Ukhov and Barshim on the medal stand in London.

This year's Pre Classic is May 29-30 at Hayward Field in Eugene.
