Just over a week after leading Bishop Montgomery High School to the CIF state Open Division championship, Oregon State Beavers signee Ethan Thompson hauled in yet another major award.
On Wednesday, Thompson was named Los Angeles Times boys' basketball player of the year after averaging 22.8 points, 7.7 rebounds, 5.4 assists per game as a senior.
For the future Beaver, the individual award caps a stunning month in which he led his prep team to wins over five nationally-ranked programs, according to The Los Angeles Times.
During his recruitment, Thompson was recruited by programs across the country, but chose Oregon State because of his family's ties to the program and his belief in the character surrounding the basketball team.
