Planning to see his older brother, California Golden Bears quarterback Chase Garbers, during last weekend's unofficial visit to Oregon State, Corona del Mar High School quarterback Ethan Garbers couldn't help but add to their loving brotherly rivalry.
On Friday, during a 62-14 victory over Newport Harbor, Garbers threw for 290 yards and a school-record seven touchdown passes - a record previously held by his older brother.
So, did Ethan make sure to rub in the record-breaking performance when he saw his older brother over the weekend?
"A little bit," he admitted.
Saturday's trip to Corvallis gave Ethan Garbers that opportunity, as the class of 2020 quarterback was on hand to watch California's 49-7 victory over Oregon State, one in which his older brother threw for 234 yards and three scores.
