CORVALLIS -- Throughout last summer, Drew Eubanks would power through lengthy workouts with former UCLA big man Josh Smith in at Club Sport in Tualatin.
Casey Trujeque, the same trainer who put Portland Trail Blazers guard Allen Crabbe through an extensive summer routine, led each session. Smith worked to lose weight and Eubanks added skills to his developing game. He drilled down on post moves, dribbling, pick-and-pops and emerged with a righty jump hook that has since become his primary post move.
Once reliant on his athleticism to overcome a limited basketball IQ, Eubanks at times has become a go-to option early in his college career.
