After leading Oregon State to a 63-9 record over the past two seasons, including a Final Four birth in 2016, senior play-maker Sydney Wiese secured her place in history as one of the greatest women’s basketball players to ever suit up for the Beavers. Now, she’ll move onto the next step in her basketball journey, which will begin with a strong shot at a WNBA career, starting next month.
According to Draft Site (DraftSite.com), Wiese is projected as the #15 overall pick in the 2017 WNBA Draft, behind a wealth of talented players including Tennessee stand-out Diamond Deshields, South Carolina forward Alaina Coates and Ohio State guard Kelsey Mitchell.
