Corvallis, Ore. – Oregon State heavyweight Amarveer Dhesi (pictured) was named the Pacific-12 Conference Wrestler of the Week for Jan. 25-31 and the Beavers dropped out of the USA Today/NWCA Division I Coaches Poll on Tuesday.
A redshirt sophomore from Burnaby High School in Surrey, British Columbia, Dhesi (18-3) won both of his matches to stretch his winning streak to four in a row this past weekend. He won a 12-4 major decision over No. 12 Tanner Hall of Arizona State on Jan. 29 and pinned Jack Kuck of Northern Colorado on Jan. 31.
