SEATTLE, Wash. – The Oregon State women's track and field team closed out the first day of competition at the UW Invitational in Seattle, Wash. on Friday with eight top-10 finishes. Freshman Lara Denbow and senior Emma Nelson went 1-2 in the women's high jump, while sophomore Adael Scatena notched a second-place finish in the women's 60-meter hurdles final.
"We had a very impressive day," said head coach Louie Quintana. "It was a balanced approach today. Redshirt freshman Jade Whitfield and redshirt senior Keely McLaughlin were really good in the weight throw and showed great progress from the first meet to place well in the final.
