Dawson Set to Compete at NCAA Championships

CORVALLIS, Ore. – Oregon State track & field's Destiny Dawson is set to compete in her first NCAA Track & Field National Championships this Thursday at Hayward Field in Eugene.

A redshirt junior from Cottage Grove, Ore., Dawson is only the third student-athlete from Oregon State to qualify for the NCAA outdoor championships since the track & field program's revival in 2005.

She joins Laura Carlyle (2011, 2012) and Kara Hallock (2017) as the only Beavers to make the championship event in the last 14 seasons.

Dawson joins Connie Peterka as the only Beavers to ever qualify for the NCAAs in the javelin.
