Craig Evans, nation's No. 5 JC DT, commits to Oregon State Beavers

The Oregon State Beavers entered Wednesday's mid-year junior college transfer signing period hoping for a few things to break their way.

One of them already has.

According to 247Sports reporter Ryan Bartow, coveted Arizona Western College defensive tackle Craig Evans is set to sign with Oregon State this morning and is expected to compete for the starting job.

The 6-foot-3, 305-pound standout is rated the nation's No. 5 JC DT and chose the Beavers over offers from Arkansas, Colorado, Kentucky and Ole Miss.

Evans was originally recruited to Wisconsin out of high school by Gary Andersen, but was not admitted into the school, a source of frustration for the coach.
