CORVALLIS - Oregon State interim football coach Cory Hall expressed dissatisfaction with his defense after California and Arizona put up record-setting rushing performances in consecutive weeks.
Heading into the Beavers' home finale against Arizona State on Saturday, Hall pledged to take a more hands-on approach with that side of the ball and addressed some of the issues he recently identified at his weekly Monday news conference.
At the forefront, Hall said, were the complexities of the game plan he felt players were not ready to take on. This week he said the goal would be to keep the plan simple and limit the need for players to think extensively on the fly.
