In what will go down as an instant classic, the Beavers managed to pull off a tremendous late-inning comeback to defeat the Tar Heels and stay alive in the College World Series.
It all started in the first inning when the Beavers got out to a fast start thanks to home runs from Cadyn Grenier and Adley Rutschman to take a 2-0 in the top of the 1st. The Beavs would then extend the lead to 3-0 after a double from Trevor Larnach in the 3rd inning, and it looked as if the Beavers were in total control.
