EUGENE — Oregon's upset of Utah was less than an hour old Saturday when running back Tony Brooks-James settled into his seat on the team charter bus.
The win was a breakthrough — UO's first on the road, and one that spoiled the Utes' Pac-12 South title hopes. No one would have complained had the Ducks savored it. But as he boarded the idling bus in the shadow of Rice-Eccles Stadium, linebackers coach Don Pellum was already mentally miles away, back in the Willamette Valley.
