For the Oregon State Beavers recruiting class of 2015, Scout listed the headliner as four-star linebacker Christian Folau, out of East High School (Salt Lake City, Utah).
The 6-foot-1, 240-pound middle linebacker was ranked the nation's No. 8 player in the country and held offers from Cal, Oklahoma State, Stanford, Utah, Wisconsin and others.
But before he was set to arrive in Corvallis, Folau planned to go on an LDS mission.
Having removed himself from the football field and social media, Folau became a college football unknown while serving the church.
