CORVALLIS, Ore. – Chayse Gomez equaled her career-best score to lead the Oregon State women's golf team in the second round of the Stanford Intercollegiate on Saturday.
The Beavers knocked five strokes off their opening round, posting a 1-under 283, that has them in a tie for sixth place with a 3-over 288-283--571 at the par-71, 6,269-yard Stanford Golf Course.
Oregon State started on the 10th hole on Saturday and had a combined five birdies through the first nine holes. The Beavers caught fire on the second nine, dropping in 11 birdies to give them momentum heading into the final 18 holes.
