Chad Johnson Jr., son of former Beavers star Chad Johnson, receives offer from Oregon State

The Oregon State Beavers football program has been more proactive on the recruiting trail under interim head coach Cory Hall, and it has led to moderate success.

Since taking over for Gary Andersen, Hall has netted four verbal commitments, including in-state pledges Keishon Dawkins (West Linn OL) and Bradley Bickler (Southridge DE/TE).

On Tuesday, Oregon State offered class of 2020 wide receiver Chad Johnson Jr., out of Venice High School (Los Angeles, California), extending that aggressive approach into future classes.

That name should sound familiar to Beaver fans, as he is the son of former Oregon State star pass-catcher Chad "Ochocinco" Johnson, who racked up 806 yards and eight touchdowns during the Fiesta Bowl season of 2000.
