SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. – Oregon State senior Carson Barry completed the first day of action at the 2022 NCAA Championships on Friday. He shot a 5-over 75 at the par-70, 7,289-yard Grayhawk Golf Club.
Barry enters the second day of action tied for 82nd and will tee off at 1:42 p.m. PT.
Barry, an Eagle, Idaho, native, picked up one birdie on the day, at the par-4 14th hole (430 yards). He was 1-over par on par-3 holes, but also 3-over on par 4s.
"The way this course is set up, if you are off by just a couple of yards in any direction from your target you pay the price, and it's showing in the scores for the entire field," Oregon State head coach Jon Reehoorn said.
