CORVALLIS – Future Oregon State gymnast Jade Carey placed eighth in the All-Around finals at the Tokyo Olympics Thursday morning.
Carey posted a score of 54.199. She started her day with a mark of 15.200 on vault, the second-best score of the competition. She ended the final with a 13.966 on the floor exercise – the third-best mark of the day.
Carey also qualified for the Olympic finals in both the vault and the floor exercise, finishing second and third in those events during qualification. She will compete in the final for the vault at 1 a.
