You've got to hand it to the Pathetic 12 Conference. Doesn't need the limelight. Doesn't care about money. Just happy to plug along under the national radar, keep a low profile, and exist in the shadows of major college athletics.
The conference went 1-8 in the last college football bowl season. It didn't make the College Football Playoff. And now, the Pathetic 12 has posted an oh-fer-three mark in the men's NCAA Tournament.
Hey, if you're commissioner Larry Scott, you'd be wise to keep an eye on Utah and the Big 12. You know, just in case the Utes -- who won their bowl game -- decide they're sick of hanging around a pack of losers.
