It had to be the least stunning outcome in the history of major college athletics. The six-member panel appointed to investigate The Ohio State University's head football coach -- Urban Meyer -- was a pack of hand-picked Buckeyes insiders who traveled to bowl games and watched football games from the university suite.
The thing turned into such a football tailgate party that the official university motto should be changed from "Disciplina in civitatem," which means "Education for Citizenship," to "Faba factum tinguere," which means, "Pass the bean dip."
Meyer will keep his job and serve a three-game suspension.
