Oregon State has spent the last week trying to make sense of how a handful of invitations to its spring football game were mailed to campus at University of Hawaii. They were addressed to Warriors players. And UH coach Nick Rolovich put OSU on social media blast for what appears to be either a blatant case of tampering or an honest misstep by a now-embarrassed coaching staff.
An NCAA source said on Thursday that Oregon State intends to report the incident as a possible secondary infraction. The "possible" part is thrown in there because nobody at OSU is sure whether the targets of the mailings at Hawaii actually received the mail or if the invitations were intercepted by Rolovich and his staff.
