CORVALLIS — Coming off back-to-back Civil War victories, No. 12 Oregon State (12-3, 3-1 Pac-12) now kicks off a key weekend stretch against the Bay Area schools beginning with a Friday-night contest versus California.
Cal (10-5, 1-3 Pac-12) dropped out of the top 25 this week after getting upset by Utah 84-79 in a game in which it led by 17 points. The Golden Bears, who boast athleticism all over the floor and the Pac-12's best freshman in post Kristine Anigwe, have lost three of their last four but hold key wins at Louisville and against UCLA in double overtime.
