CORVALLIS, Ore. – Oregon State infielder Cadyn Grenier has been selected in the first round, 37th overall by the Baltimore Orioles in the 2018 MLB First-Year Player Draft.
Grenier's selection gives the Beavers three in the first round this year – including Nick Madrigal and Trevor Larnach – surpassing 2007 (Mitch Canham and Eddie Kunz) as the most in a single season for Oregon State.
Grenier, who hails from Henderson, Nev., has played in 172 career games for the Beavers, batting .285 with 27 doubles, 11 triples, 10 home runs and 99 RBI with 15 stolen bases.
