Today former Oregon State cornerback Brandon Browner has plead no contest to one charge of attempted murder, and two charges of child endangerment. The charges stem from an incident earlier this year when Browner broke into the residence of a woman he had previously had a relationship. He then threatened her and her children before leaving, and was arrested later the same day.
While not the same as a gulty plea, as a no contest plea does not require an admission of guilt, the effect will be largely the same. As part of the plea, additional charges of burglary and false imprisonment have been dropped.
